Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Maple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley (to garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:

    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
    • Wash and cut the Brussels sprouts in half.
  2. Season and Roast:

    • In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with the olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper.
    • Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Cooking:

    • Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and tender, stirring halfway through cooking.
  4. Add the Bacon:

    • Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked, remove them from the oven and mix them with the cooked bacon pieces.
  5. Serve:

    • Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving bowl, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
