Maple Syrup Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops
  • 125 ml of pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mashed potatoes (for serving)
  • Steamed Green Beans (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce and chopped thyme.
  2. Marinate the Chops:

    • Place the pork chops in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the Pan:

    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the Chops:

    • Remove the chops from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and season them with salt and pepper.
    • Cook the pork chops in the hot pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned and cooked through.
  5. Add the Marinade:

    • Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and glazes the chops.
  6. Serve:

    • Arrange the pork chops on a plate, drizzle them with the maple syrup sauce.
    • Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.

Enjoy your food !
